Ink Jet Printer Cartridge Recycling Program

Help Big Island Cats

You can help reduce pollution; cartridges do not decompose for 1,000 years!

You can help save energy; empty ones are refilled and reused.

You can help abandoned and homeless cats on the Big Island!

Almost everyone has inkjet printers at home or at their work place. Now when you have an empty cartridge, please don't throw it away. Recycle your cartridges and advoCATS can earn up to $4.00 from the recycler for each cartridge. You can also get empties from your friends, neighbors and small businesses. The average household uses 2 cartridges a year.

If you live on the Big Island you can bring your cartridges to our meetings, or save them up and we'll come get them.

First check their web site to see if your inkjet cartridges are recycleable with "Empties For Cash" click HERE to go to their web site. Then Email us; advocatshawaii@aol.com

All cartridges with a print head are qualified for payment. That includes most of Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Compaq, Canon, Dell, Brother, and Apple. Cartridges without a print head do not qualify for payment. That includes all Epson and Canon BCI cartridges.
